We’re now one month into the new year and it’s around this time that recently adopted changes to how we want to live our lives start to lose pace.
Forming new habits is hard. Maybe you want to get into shape, maybe you want to get fit, quit smoking or cut down on alcohol? Or maybe you just want to take more time for you – to be in the present and learn some mindfulness techniques.
Change is hard – some tips on how to stick with your new year resolutions:
- Set specific goals
- Make your goals realistic
- Take one thing at a time
- It’s ok to ask for help when making the change(s)
- Reward yourself for the right reasons
