About Suicide Call Back Service

Suicide Call Back Service is a 24-hour, nationwide service that provides free telephone, video and online counselling. You can call us anywhere and anytime on 1300 659 467.

Our professionally trained counsellors have specialist skills in working with suicide-related issues and they can help you to work through the pain and distress you may be feeling.

The term ‘Call Back’ included in our name originates back to the launch of Suicide Call Back Service in 2007. The service offers up to four additional phone counselling sessions and these sessions are called ‘call backs’.

 

Who we help

Suicide Call Back Service offers crisis support to anyone in Australia who is aged 15 years and older.

How it works

Suicide Call Back Service provides immediate telephone counselling and support in a crisis. Your call will be answered by a counsellor.

You can also access free video and online counselling on our website.

You may be eligible to receive up to four free telephone counselling sessions, scheduled at times to best suit your needs.

 

If it is an emergency, please dial 000.

 

Suicide Call Back Service is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care and is delivered by professional counsellors at Lifeline.

 

SPA Accreditation Status

Suicide Call Back Service is working towards accreditation with Suicide Prevention Australia’s Standards for Quality Improvement.
