- Stay calm
- Stay on the phone with the person.
- Use another phone to access emergency assistance if necessary.
- Find out where the person is and whether anyone else is there.
If the person is alone and has already harmed himself or herself, or is in a dangerous situation:
- Call 000. Ask for the police.
- Request a welfare check on behalf of the suicidal person.
If the person has not yet harmed himself or herself:
